Gemma Smith is a Solicitor in James & Wells Auckland Litigation Team. Her practice includes enforcement of IP rights, dispute resolution, and border protection measures, across the range of IP rights but with an emphasis on trade mark and copyright issues. With her eye for detail, Gemma is excellent at research and compiling evidence. Gemma has been involved in several high profile intellectual property cases, including the landmark Plantation Grown Timbers v ESR. Her work includes advising fashion house Hermes and iconic fast food outlet In-N-Out Burger. Her clients enjoy her cheerful and inquisitive nature. Outside of work, Gemma relaxes with road trips with friends, travelling, watching documentaries and attending music festivals.
