Andrew has acted for thousands of clients who have been accused of criminal offences, including appearing for persons charged with murder, sexual offending, fraud, serious driving offences, drug supply and possession, violence, and internet-based offences. He is an experienced trial advocate and frequently appears without counsel in indictable matters, including jury trials. Ms. Jasmina Ceic, Partner, Nyman Gibson Miralis
Jasmina Ceic is a partner and defence lawyer at Nyman Gibson Miralis. She holds a Masters of Law and Legal Practice and is an accomplished criminal trial advocate, having completed advocacy training with the Australian Advocacy Institute. Jasmina advises and acts in complex criminal law matters at all levels of the court system, with a specialist focus on serious matters that proceed to trial in the Superior Courts. Jasmina has represented persons accused of serious traffic matters and has a particular interest in defended traffic matters. Ms. Angela Cooney, National Practice Director,
Angela Cooney is the National Practice Director of Criminal Law at Armstrong Legal and is an Accredited Criminal Law Specialist. She manages a team of around 25 criminal lawyers and paralegals nationally, as well as managing her own case load. Angela is a confident and formidable advocate for her clients. She commonly appears in very complex and serious matters but is able to assist clients with all kinds of criminal and traffic offences. Angela is an experienced court advocate having appeared in the Local and District Court, the Court of Criminal Appeal as well as in federal jurisdictions in a multitude of matters, including complex strictly indictable trials. Angela is passionate about providing clients with high quality and easy to understand legal advice and her experience allows her to provide clients with a first-class service. Angela has been practicing for over a decade in Criminal Law, firstly working in regional NSW before starting with Armstrong Legal. She achieved Accredited Specialisation in 2017, and was a recommended Traffic Lawyer by the Doyle’s Guide in both 2021 and 2022.


Ms. Sophie Ogborne, Consulting Solicitor, Taylor Rose Australia
Sophie is currently a consulting solicitor with Taylor Rose, and has previous experience in criminal law, civil law, family law and in the criminal and equity divisions of the Supreme Court. She was admitted to practice in NSW in 2020 and holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. Sophie now practices exclusively in criminal and traffic law, and draws on her experience working in multiple practice areas prior to specialising. Sophie regularly appears in the Local and District Courts of New South Wales in a range of matters from simple Local Court applications to strictly indictable matters and has developed a passion for traffic law specifically. Sophie’s biggest priority for her clients is vesting them with honest and thorough advice to allow them to make the best decision. Sophie is from a fourth-generation legal family and has always been interested in and passionate about legal practice and the rule of law.
