He holds a Master of Laws. Harry contributes to LexisNexis' Practical Guidance publication, on the topic of Public Liability.


Paul Zapata, Legal Practice Manager, Shine Lawyers

Phil Nolan, Barrister, Darrow Chambers
Phil’s expertise in this area extends to all life insurance matters held inside and outside superannuation funds, such as TPD, Income Protection and Terminal Illness claims. Phil also specialises in Personal Injuries matters, including a specific focus on Federal compensation schemes, such as Comcare, Seafarers’ and Military Compensation, as well as acting for clients in relation to personal injuries under the Northern Territory jurisdiction. Phil was admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales before moving to Brisbane in 2008. He is a member of the Queensland Law Society and is admitted to practice in Queensland and the High Court of Australia.


Yvette McLaughlin, Partner, Sparke Helmore
Yvette McLaughlin is an accredited specialist in personal injury law, with more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry. She has practised predominately in defendant insurance and has extensive knowledge of workers' compensation, motor accident and personal injuries proceedings. Her experience spans all Queensland Courts, the Court of Appeal, the AAT and the QIRC and she has contributed to policy formulation and education initiatives for clients. She is regularly involved in committees discussing ongoing issues such as management of litigated matters and the use of technology in claims management and represents clients at public stakeholder meetings. Her experience in both formulating and complying with the strict service level standards expected by her clients, and her commitment to the continuous improvement of claims management processes, has allowed Yvette to develop and implement claims management systems to efficiently conduct personal injuries claims while at the same time adhering to clients' service level standards and the relevant legislative timeframes. Yvette regularly chairs and presents industry seminars and provides client training.


Ashleigh Kruger, Solicitor, Shine Lawyers
Ashleigh is a Solicitor in our Carindale office whose focus is on helping people who were injured on the road, while at work or in a public place to access the justice and compensation they deserve. Prior to joining the Shine team, Ashleigh worked for a large insurer in CTP claims. She feels this experience and industry knowledge gives her an advantage as a plaintiff lawyer as she has a thorough understanding of the claims process from both perspectives.
