Rick has wide litigation experience at all levels in the Western Australian and Federal Courts, most recently in corporations law, contract, partnership and land law cases., An active member of the legal profession, Rick was a councilor of the Law Society of Western Australia for 13 years, and president of the Law Society of Western Australia in 1992. He has been a member and Chair of numerous committees over the years., Rick was made a life member of the Law Society of WA in 2005 for his contribution to law and the legal profession in WA., Rick has been a director of a number of private and public companies over the years., Rick is a shareholder of the Cullen family winery in Margaret River, and with his wife Bettina Mangan has established 65 hectares of vines in the Margaret River area., Rick's other interests include tennis, gardening, and playing the piano and guitar.
GiGi Visscher, Barrister, Francis Burt Chambers
GiGi joined the bar in 2008. Since being called to the bar, she has principally practiced in commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on construction, property, equity, trade practices and insolvency matters., Prior to joining the bar, GiGi was a solicitor at Freehills, Perth. Before commencing her legal career, GiGi practiced as a Chartered Accountant, including as a forensic accountant. ,GiGi has an extensive commercial background, having worked in Singapore, London, Los Angeles, New York and Washington DC. , In addition to her Bachelor of Laws degree with Honours, GiGi holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Western Australia and a Master of Laws from Georgetown University in Washington DC.
David Kernohan, Principal, Kernohan Consulting
David Kernohan is a highly skilled senior executive in the not-for-profit sector in Western Australia with over 30 years' experience working in the social services and community legal fields. David is currently the principal at his company Kernohan Consulting and a director at Youth Legal Service. He’s the former CEO of the Mental Health Law Centre Inc. and was also the chairperson of the WA Community Legal Centres Association (a peak body of community legal centres in Western Australia). Prior to working in Community Legal Centres, David was employed in senior management positions for over 20 years in the community services sector working with people who are homeless and who have complex needs linked to drug and alcohol and mental health issues. In the early 1980's David trained, qualified and work as a Mental Health Nurse at Graylands/Swanbourne hospitals. He also has Bachelor of Law: Murdoch University and Bachelor of Social Science: Edith Cowan University.
