Leah O’Keefe, Principal Lawyer, Maurice BlackburnLeah O’Keefe is a Dust Diseases Principal Lawyer in Maurice Blackburn’s Melbourne office. An approachable and hard-working lawyer who is dedicated to her clients, Leah works closely with sufferers of asbestos, silica and other dust diseases, as well as their families. Leah joined Maurice Blackburn as a trainee lawyer in 2014, and was admitted to practice in 2015. She holds a Masters in Laws (Juris Doctor) and a Bachelor of Arts with majors in Indonesian and International Studies from Monash University. In early 2019, Leah commenced work at Irwin Mitchell in London in their asbestos disease department before returning to Maurice Blackburn in Melbourne in late 2020. Leah completed her Specialist Accreditation in Personal Injury Law in 2021, consolidating her knowledge to further serve and support her clients.

Victoria is an accredited specialist in personal injury law with extensive experience in asbestos and dust diseases litigation. Victoria has over 15 years’ experience in representing those suffering from all forms of asbestos diseases. Victoria is also passionate about achieving compensation for those afflicted by other occupational diseases, such as silicosis, occupational lung cancer and occupational fibrosis. Victoria has represented clients in a number of jurisdictions around Australia and has been recognised by Doyle’s Guide as a pre-eminent lawyer in the area of Dust Diseases.
