David Andersen, Partner, HWL Ebsworth LawyersDavid specialises in toxic tort litigation, workers compensation and public liability claims. David acts exclusively for insurers and self-insureds. He assists clients across a broad range of industries, including energy and resources, manufacturing, property management, transport and insurance. David was named in the 2016 Asia Pacific Legal 500 Directory as one of Australia’s “leading individuals” for insurance law. He is a member of the NSW Law Society’s Personal Injury Specialist Accreditation Committee Advisory Committee.

Karina Davies, General Manager, Dust Diseases Care, iCare NSW
Karina is the General Manager of Dust Diseases Care at icare. She is responsible for managing the Dust Diseases scheme in NSW for workers who have been impacted by occupational dust diseases and their dependents. She also oversees icare’s Health Screening service which provides vital lung screening services across regional NSW through its mobile clinic and a fixed clinic in the Sydney CBD. Karina works closely with the Dust Diseases Board, the Dust Diseases Tribunal and SafeWork and is a passionate advocate for research to improve prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care for those impacted by dust diseases. Karina is a lawyer by background and has extensive experience in the insurance and financial services industries in Australia and overseas.
