Julie Robb, Solicitor and Mediator, The Olive Rooms
Julie Robb is a specialist IP and commercial lawyer and an accredited mediator. She has advised and represented individuals, not-for-profits and corporations for over 35 years – first at a top tier national firm, then as Executive Director of the Arts Law Centre of Australia and for 18 years as partner and head of the disputes practice at a boutique IP and media firm in Sydney. Julie has litigated IP disputes in the Federal and State Courts, including for multinational clients in the enforcement of their registered shape and colour trade marks. A member of the Law Society of NSW Litigation Law and Practice Committee for 17 years until 2023, she is currently Deputy Chair of its ADR Committee.

Odette Gourley, Partner, Corrs Chambers Westgarth
Odette is one of Australia’s leading lawyers, well known as an expert in trade marks, patents, copyright and other intellectual property. Odette has been involved in high profile trade mark cases including Katy Perry, Winnebago and Gallo Barefoot, each a leading authority on aspects of Australian law. In the patents area, she won the Hassle case in the High Court on lack of inventive step and is waiting for a judgment from the High Court on patent term extensions which is of great significance in the pharmaceutical industry. Odette is an expert on regulatory regimes affecting intellectual property owning manufacturers across various sectors and has a broad practice acting in contested cases with the ACCC and advising on sensitive product and marketing claims for leading global product companies.
