Shelby Earl, Director, Audit and Assurance, RSM Australia
Shelby Earl is a Director in RSM Australia’s Audit & Assurance practice and a key leader within the firm’s regional audit offering, including national responsibility for leading RSM’s trust accounting audit teams. With more than 13 years’ experience, Shelby delivers comprehensive audit and assurance services to a diverse client base across both the public and private sectors. Shelby is known for her highly engaged and practical approach to audit, working closely with clients to understand their operations, identify key risks, and deliver outcomes that are both technically robust and commercially relevant. She is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Quantitative Business Analysis) and a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting. Shelby is passionate about developing high‑performing teams and supporting clients to meet their regulatory obligations while adding value beyond compliance. In recognition of her professional leadership and contribution to the audit profession, Shelby was nominated and named a finalist in the 2022 Women in Finance Awards – Auditor of the Year category. She is a Registered Company Auditor and an Approved External Examiner with strong governance and risk expertise, including specialist experience in financial statement audits, solicitor and real estate trust account audits, grant acquittal audits and compliance‑based engagements.
