David specialises in corporate law, capital raising and commercial law, adding significant depth to Finns corporate and commercial practice. With a background in banking law where he was the chief legal officer and company secretary for an international bank, David has been in private legal practice in the financial services industry in his own firm since 2002. His practice entails many other areas of general commercial law including corporate and commercial advice, corporate governance and compliance, board best practice, equity transactions, debt financing, financial services industry regulation and financial product development.


John Graves, Senior Consultant, Finn Roache Lawyers
John Graves is a Commercial Lawyer providing a broad range of corporate and commercial legal services to clients across a diverse number of industries such as information technology, accountants and their clients, property and development, transport and tourism industries, and a number of others. He has extensive experience in structuring, funding and restructuring of businesses and other entities, acquisition & sale of businesses and companies, intellectual property law, competition and consumer law, property law and building, construction and development law. John is an accredited specialist of the Law Society of New South Wales in Business Law and in Property Law. John is currently the Chairman of the Examination Committee for Business Law Specialist Accreditation with the Law Society of NSW. John was previously the principal of Bradfield & Scott Lawyers before their merger with Finn Roache Lawyers in August 2022, the Managing Partner of Ebsworth & Ebsworth and before that of Parish Patience. There is a real need for users of commercial legal services to have one lawyer who can identify their needs and provide access to a broad range of legal services, and specialists as needed. John works with his own team and with other lawyers to provide exactly that in the delivery of legal services. By his involvement in training of other lawyers, John endeavours to further meet these client needs.


Fiona Hansen, Senior Managing Director and Head of Valuations Advisory, FTI Consulting
Fiona is a Senior Managing Director and leads FTI Consulting’s Valuation Advisory practice in Australia. She has over 28 years' experience in corporate finance and business valuations having held senior roles in the Big 4 accounting firms working in Australia, Europe and South Africa. Fiona specialises in valuations of businesses, intangible assets, equity and debt instruments, executive options, impairment testing and independent experts reports. She has prepared numerous valuation reports for a range of purposes, including mergers and acquisitions, accounting, taxation, stamp duty, Corporations Act and ASX requirements. Fiona’s valuation reports comply with the relevant standards or professional requirements. They are succinct, easy to read and give clients confidence in the final outcome. Fiona has also undertaken numerous corporate finance assignments involving mergers and acquisitions, divestments and financial due diligence.
