Emma Fitzgerald, Barrister, Hemmant's ListEmma is a barrister of nearly four years call. Prior to joining the bar, Emma worked in government and private practice for 8 years. Her primary practice area is personal injuries with a particular interest in psychological claims after successfully appearing for the Plaintiff in Gairns v Pro Music Pty Ltd [2024] QDC 118. Emma is running a number of sexual harassment claims for compensation which incorporate psychological injuries in the Industrial Relations Commission of Queensland and the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal. Emma is a proud single mum and mental health advocate and regularly speaks about her experience. Jo Sorbello is a barrister in private practice at the Queensland bar. Prior to being called to the bar, Jo spent over a decade in private practice as a solicitor practising in personal injuries litigation. She is a Queensland Law Society Accredited Specialist in Personal Injuries having been awarded the Highest Achievement award for the 2007 accreditation program.
