Bridie Nolan, Barrister & Arbitrator, 12 Wentworth Selborne Chambers
Bridie Nolan is a senior junior barrister, arbitrator and accredited mediator practising across a broad range of areas, both domestically and internationally. Prior to being called to the Bar in 2006, Bridie was an academic at the University of Sydney and UNSW in both international political economy and law. She has also worked in a large corporate commercial firm before spending time as the associate to Justice Allsop, now Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia. Bridie is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and ACICA, a District Court and Local Court Arbitrator and a Dispute Resolution Service Decision Maker with the State Insurance Regulatory Authority. She is also a NMAS Accredited Mediator.


Calli Tsipidis, Legal Counsel, Foxtel Group
Calli Tsipidis is Legal Counsel at Foxtel Group, working across the FOX SPORTS Australia, Kayo Sports, BINGE, Flash and Foxtel brands. She advises the sports content and production, sales, partnerships, digital product and marketing teams, and was a key stakeholder supporting the build and launch of Flash, BINGE, Kayo Freebies and Pay-Per-View on Kayo. In 2021, Calli was a Finalist across multiple categories in the Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards, Corporate Counsel Awards and 30 Under 30 Awards, and took home both the Rising Star of the Year - In House and In House Lawyer of the Year at the Women in Law Awards. Calli is the current Chair of the Communications and Media Law Association’s Young Lawyers Committee.


Marianne Barker, Barrister, Owen Dixon Chambers West
Marianne Barker is a barrister at the Victorian Bar who specialises in intellectual property law, mediations and sports law. Her sports law experience arose out of her work as Chairman of the Board of Taekwondo Australia and later as the President of the Appeals Tribunal for that organisation. In 2019 she was awarded the Denis Callinan Award for her pro bono sports law work for athletes and others.


Chris Hill, Principal (Australia), Onside Law
Chris is an employment and commercial lawyer, and currently is a Principal at Onside Law. Onside Law is a London headquartered law firm focusing on the sports, media and entertainment sectors. Chris advises Australian and international sports bodies, broadcasters, sports technology companies and sports investors on employment and commercial legal matters. Chris also consults to global law firm AO Shearman in relation to complex Australian employment issues. Chris has previously worked in private practice at Herbert Smith Freehills and has also worked in-house as an employment lawyer for both Westpac and the Foxtel Group (part of the News Corp group, also working with FOX SPORTS Australia, Foxtel Media and Kayo Sports). Chris has been listed by Doyles Guide Australia and regularly contributes to HRM Online and other publications. He has regularly volunteered for Kingsford Legal Centre and is a volunteer mentor for the Australian and New Zealand Sports Law Association (ANZSLA).


Elle Nikou Madalin, Barrister & Arbitrator, Victorian Bar - List G Barristers
Elle Nikou Madalin is a barrister at the Victorian Bar. She has a broad trial and appellate practice encompassing commercial, administrative and common law matters. She has special expertise as counsel in all aspects of sports law, including in investigations, court and tribunal proceedings, and arbitrations concerning: doping; discipline and member protection; re-, licenscing of athletes following suspension; employment; intellectual property; incorporated associations; and sports governance. In the past, Elle sat regularly as a member of the Football Federation Victoria Disciplinary Tribunal, in both its original and appellate jurisdiction (including frequently as Chair). Elle has also chaired disciplinary tribunals for Swimming Victoria and the Hockey Victoria Appeals Board. From time to time, Elle has also accepted briefs to act as an independent investigator on behalf of a sporting association, or otherwise to advise sporting associations on the drafting of their rules, by-laws and constitutions. Elle is the Secretary of the Sports Law Section of the Commercial Bar Association. Elle holds Bachelors degrees in Law and Arts from the University of Melbourne, where she is presently completing her Masters of Commercial Law. She is a member of Dever's List and maintains chambers at Owen Dixon West.


Bronwen Knox OLY GAICD, Lawyer, Consultant and Coach
Bronwen Knox OLY four-time Olympian and admitted Legal Practitioner. With a robust academic background in law, science, and public health, she has a strong focus on integrity in sport and athlete well-being. Bronwen serves as the National Integrity and Complaints Manager for multiple national sporting organisations and is a member of the National Sports Tribunal. In addition, she holds several advisory and board roles, specialist coach for water polo high performance program in QLD and was appointed as Deputy Chef de Mission for the Paris 2024 Australian Olympic Team.
