Bridie Nolan, Barrister & Arbitrator, 12 Wentworth Selborne ChambersBridie Nolan is a senior junior barrister, arbitrator and accredited mediator practising across a broad range of areas, both domestically and internationally. Prior to being called to the Bar in 2006, Bridie was an academic at the University of Sydney and UNSW in both international political economy and law. She has also worked in a large corporate commercial firm before spending time as the associate to Justice Allsop, now Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia. Bridie is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and ACICA, a District Court and Local Court Arbitrator and a Dispute Resolution Service Decision Maker with the State Insurance Regulatory Authority. She is also a NMAS Accredited Mediator.
Calli Tsipidis, Legal Counsel, Foxtel Group
Calli Tsipidis is Legal Counsel at Foxtel Group, working across the FOX SPORTS Australia, Kayo Sports, BINGE, Flash and Foxtel brands. She advises the sports content and production, sales, partnerships, digital product and marketing teams, and was a key stakeholder supporting the build and launch of Flash, BINGE, Kayo Freebies and Pay-Per-View on Kayo. In 2021, Calli was a Finalist across multiple categories in the Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards, Corporate Counsel Awards and 30 Under 30 Awards, and took home both the Rising Star of the Year – In House and In House Lawyer of the Year at the Women in Law Awards. Calli is the current Chair of the Communications and Media Law Association’s Young Lawyers Committee.

Marianne Barker, Barrister, Owen Dixon Chambers West
Marianne has had extensive experience in all areas of intellectual property, trade practices, general commercial law and sports law. Her practice has encompassed appeals, trials and various types of interlocutory applications for orders including injunctions, civil search and seizure orders and contempt orders. Her clients in the trade marks area have included various owners of famous trade marks. She has also acted in copyright and design matters. Marianne has also acted in mechanical and pharmaceutical patent matters. She has also acted in allied areas such as breach of trade secrets, Crown use of IP, the IP aspects of tax appeals (R & D) and in the trade practices area she has acted in various consumer law and price fixing matters. Her sports law practice grew out of her pro-bono work for Olympic athletes and she was, for several years, the President of the Taekowondo Appeals Tribunal and was awarded the Denis Callinan prize in 2019 which recognises members of the Australian New Zealand Sports Law Association (ANZSLA) who render commendable community service in the field of sports law.) Marianne has acted in non-selection cases for athletes and coaches as well as in matters concerning member protection and more recently in safeguarding matters brought against coaches. Finally, she also practises as a Mediator. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and has had various board positions on not-for-profit boards.
Chris Hill, Principal (Australia), Onside Law
Chris is an employment and commercial lawyer, and currently is a Principal at Onside Law. Onside Law is a London headquartered law firm focusing on the sports, media and entertainment sectors. Chris advises Australian and international sports governing bodies, professional athletes, sports agents, broadcasters, sports technology companies and sports investors on employment, contractual and commercial legal matters. Chris has also consulted to global law firm AO Shearman in relation to complex Australian employment issues. Chris has previously worked in private practice at Herbert Smith Freehills, and has also worked in-house as an employment lawyer for both Westpac and the Foxtel Group (which includes FOX SPORTS Australia, Foxtel Media, BINGE and Kayo Sports). Chris has been listed by Doyles Guide Australia and regularly contributes to HRM Online and other publications. He has regularly volunteered for Kingsford Legal Centre and is a volunteer mentor for the Australian and New Zealand Sports Law Association (ANZSLA).
Bronwen Knox OLY GAICD, Lawyer, Consultant and Coach
Bronwen Knox OLY four-time Olympian and admitted Legal Practitioner. With a robust academic background in law, science, and public health, she has a strong focus on integrity in sport and athlete well-being. Bronwen serves as the National Integrity and Complaints Manager for multiple national sporting organisations and is a member of the National Sports Tribunal. In addition, she holds several advisory and board roles, specialist coach for water polo high performance program in QLD and was appointed as Deputy Chef de Mission for the Paris 2024 Australian Olympic Team.
