Nick Murfett, Director, Murfett Group
During the past 25 years of legal practice, Nick Murfett has acquired experience in several areas. In 1990 he left practice in a large firm to establish the sole practice 'Murfett & Co' in West Perth. The firm's main practice areas were insolvency, commercial litigation and general commercial. Nick ran the firm and its successor Murfett Legal until December 2008 when he left full time legal practice. Nick has a keen interest in business and commerce and has been involved in the management of several businesses in the areas of farming, aviation, property development, debt collection, hospitality and charities. Despite varied experience in litigation, Nick has a strong interest in mediation and alternative dispute resolution for clients who seek to resolve disputes without litigation. He is a mediator accredited with LEADR, a Professional and Executive Coach - accredited by Open Up Communication Pty Ltd (Sydney) and is accredited in several psycho-therapy modalities. In 2008 Nick left full time legal practice to commence consulting in professional and executive coaching, workshop and seminar facilitation and corporate consulting. Nick has a keen interest in the welfare of professional and business people.
