John Syminton is a Consultant of WSR Law (formerly Warren Syminton Ralph Pty Ltd). Prior to joining the firm, John was a partner of Freehills in Perth for many years. WSR Law has an office in Fremantle and acts primarily on commercial property transactions. The firm currently acts for a number of corporations including a major listed ASX corporation. John’s principal area of expertise is in commercial property and commercial agreements. John is a member of the Law Society of Western Australia and for many years was a member of the Law Society Committee which deals with drafting of the General Conditions for Sale of Land in Western Australia. He is the Chair of the Legal Practice Board. John prepared the original General Conditions for Sale of Land in WA which is the basis of the current 2018 General Conditions for the Sale of Land.

Margot King, Partner, Hamilton Locke
Margot is a Partner at Hamilton Locke leading the Property Projects Team. Margot specialises in solving land issues in carbon projects, new energy projects and development projects. She has a multi-disciplinary energy, projects and corporate background and has practised in Europe, Sydney and Perth. Highlights of her career include working on the $6 billion Barangaroo South Project in Sydney CBD and the $2.4 billion Parramatta Square Project in Parramatta, Sydney. She has also practised in house for Rio Tinto, Lendlease and Walker Corporation. She is currently working on a large number of renewables projects and carbon projects across all states in Australia for leading project proponents. Margot has special interest in sustainable buildings, getting to net zero, indigenous equity, community engagement and participation, placemaking, and architecture and design for accessibility.
Raymond Deng, Lawyer, Hamilton Locke
Raymond is a lawyer in the Property Projects team at Hamilton Locke. Raymond commenced practising in projects and construction disputes and cyber incident response before finding his niche in property projects. Raymond works with Margot in acting for carbon sector and new energy clients on projects across Australia and is highly skilled in land diligence and access and titling issues. Prior to his legal career he ran his own web development business and worked in the financial sector. He enjoys working in the new energy and carbon market sectors as it allows him to bring his technical acumen to legal practice.
