Lindsay Ash is a senior solicitor leading the NDIS practice at Legal Aid NSW. She represents NDIS participants and prospective participants in reviews and appeals of NDIA decisions in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and Federal Court, including in relation to access to the Scheme, support needs, and compensation issues. She has practised in NDIS law for over 6 years, and prior to that practised in housing law at Legal Aid NSW and at Redfern Legal Centre. She edited the Law Handbook chapter on the NDIS and regularly provides training on NDIS law to participants, lawyers and disability advocates.


Tom Ballantyne, Partner, Maurice Blackburn
Tom Ballantyne is a Principal Lawyer and head of Maurice Blackburn's medical negligence department in Victoria. He is a Law Institute of Victoria Personal Injury Accredited Specialist and currently sits on the Specialist Accreditation committee. In addition to his medical negligence practice, he is also active in legal policy issues, particularly around the National Disability Insurance Scheme and My Health Record.
