[VIDEO] Forewarned is Forearmed – Working Collaboratively with the ATO

“Forewarned is forearmed,” says Chris Kinsella, Tax Controversy Specialist and Partner at MinterEllison, as he highlights how working collaboratively with the ATO is important in 2020 and beyond.

We recently sat down with Chris Kinsella ahead of the Tax Summit 2020: Working Collaboratively with the ATO conference on Wednesday 25 November, where he will be drawing from his extensive experience to chair the program.

As a tax specialist, Chris Kinsella has more than 30 years’ experience helping large businesses and high-wealth individuals manage their tax obligations and risks. This ranges from general tax advice, Australian Taxation Office (ATO) reviews and audits through to litigation. He has also represented the ATO in tax appeals before the Federal Court of Australia and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

Chris maintains a strong working relationship with the Australian Taxation Commissioner and the Commissioner’s team — whether acting for or against them in proceedings, giving him a unique perspective on managing our clients’ relationships with the ATO, and formulating strategies to achieve the best outcome at the earliest opportunity.
